elvis motalaota transporting his water supply,

‘soccer city’ constuction site, riverlea, johannesburg, south africa

elvis is a scaffolding builder at the 2010 ‘soccer city’ construction site. he has been working here for 7 months and lives in a makeshift shack in the veld next to the site. the company he works for does not provide housing for the workers they employ.  elvis has come here from limpopo province in the north-eastern part of south africa. his wife and children are still there and he hopefully will be visiting them soon. since there is no sanitation or water provided elvis has to ‘steal’ water from the site to use for bathing, washing, cleaning and drinking.
